Our Microgreens

 

     Our microgreens are started and finished completely on our farm. We choose the highest organic quality of seeds then grow them organically in a fully controlled, indoor climate. We use the best controlled lighting plus natural lighting to improve the phytochemical contents of our greens. Additives, preservations and chemicals are never used in any form of our growing process. Once ready to harvest, our microgreens are immediately cultivated, washed, and then freeze dried. Freeze-drying our microgreens ensures that the highest nutritional value is maintained as well as freshness. Freeze-drying gives our product a shelf life of up to 25 years, but each product should be used within one year of opening it. From seed to table there are no additives, preservatives or chemicals put on our products.

     Microgreens are nutrient dense powerhouses. They can contain up to 40 times more nutrients than an adult plant. They are rich in vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants. Numerous studies have shown that consuming microgreens may have a host of positive effects on the body. Some of those effects included improved insulin sensitivity and control, reduced systemic inflammation, and anti-cancer properties. While this just scratches the surface of their benefits, they are a nutritious addition to a balanced diet.
